What this notice covers
This notice explains how FRIENDS Kenya uses cookies and similar storage on friendskenya.com and the FRIENDS web app. It does not cover the native iOS or Android apps, which store data on your device under your operating system’s controls.
Storage we use
Sign-in session — stored in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. Without it, you would have to sign in on every page.
Theme and display preference — remembers whether you chose light, dark or system theme.
Device settings — small local values such as dismissed prompts, ad-upsell counters and onboarding progress.
Security — our infrastructure providers may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the service from abuse.
What we do not use on the web
The web version of FRIENDS does not show third-party advertising and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in this version. We do not sell personal data.
If we add analytics or advertising to the web in future, we will update this notice and ask for consent where the law requires it before those tools load.
Native app ads
On native builds where ads are enabled, Google AdMob may use device identifiers and similar signals, subject to the consent choices available on your device. Premium members do not see ads. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.
Managing storage
You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Clearing storage will sign you out of FRIENDS and reset your theme choice. Blocking all storage may stop the web app from working.
Because we do not use optional web tracking cookies in this version, there is no separate cookie-consent banner to manage.
